For over 40 years, the Venice High School Alumni Association has been responsible for selecting the Homecoming Court. The Alumni Association takes great pride in the fact that, unlike most schools, Venice High chooses its Homecoming Court not by a popularity contest, but rather through a selection process that rewards citizenship, school spirit, community involvement and work ethic.

The 2010 Homecoming Court had a combined GPA of 3.94. Included in the Court were members of: the marching band, cheer squad, water polo, swim, dive, football, basketball and volleyball teams, the ASB President, members of the National Honor Society of High School Scholars and members of the Delphian Society.
